Terms and Conditions

All clients are required to complete and sign a Client Declaration form. Your data is treated as confidential and will not be shared with any third party, in line with GDPR requirements.

OUR COMMITMENT TO YOU

  • Your dog is our absolute number one priority

  • We create a grooming experience that is as natural and stress free as possible

  • We operate at all times on a one to one basis, and never overbook or rush appointments, so there is no need for your four legged friend to be kept waiting or to be rushed

  • We provide a calm, relaxed environment for your dog, so that the grooming experience is enjoyable and positive

  • We will discuss with you your requirements in detail ahead of every groom and we will provide feedback to you after every groom

  • We will work with you to find a style and treatment that is perfect for your dog and your lifestyle

  • Your dog will be treated with love and respect

YOUR PET’S HEALTH & WELFARE

Whilst in our care your pet’s health and welfare is our primary concern. It will only ever be groomed according to its tolerance of the process. If your pet is fearful of any of the procedures employed during grooming, a workaround or alternative approach will be employed. Occasionally during grooming a pre-existing condition may be discovered which you may not have been aware of. We will notify you of this so that you can seek veterinary advice if necessary.

Although extremely unlikely, accidents can happen during grooming. In the event of an accident or serious medical issue arising during your pet’s groom you authorise us to seek emergency veterinary treatment. Please inform us of any changes in your pet’s health or temperament or changes to your personal details to allow us to continue to provide a service tailored to your pet’s needs.

  • Pets which are pregnant or in season will not be accepted for a groom

  • We have the right to cancel a groom if it would affect the pet’s welfare to continue or there is a risk of injury to the groomer

  • If your pet appears unwell at the time of the appointment, they may not be accepted for grooming due to the risk of cross infection to other pets.

  • If your pet is found to have a tick, we will remove it at no extra cost. However, we advise if your pet has a tick to see your vet, as they are known carriers of disease and may require further treatment

  • Any pets that are deemed to need immediate veterinary attention will not be accepted for grooming or will have their grooms terminated

  • We cannot groom any dog that has been micro chipped within the last 24 hours due to risk of infecting the needle wound.

  • Any dog that is aggressive may need to be muzzled.  It is the owner’s responsibility to inform the groomer if they do not wish their pet to be muzzled. Refusal may result in the groom not taking place

  • We strongly advise you insure your pet. Whilst we take every reasonable precaution to prevent it, we will not accept any responsibility for any loss, injury, death or illness suffered by your pet whilst in our care, except to the extent that we are unable to limit or extend our liability.  Whilst every care is taken of the pet being groomed, any pet left within the grooming workshop is left entirely at the owner’s risk

WHAT WE REQUIRE OF YOU

  • Please ensure that your pet has been given the opportunity to be relieved before they arrive for their appointment

  • Please ensure that your pet is wearing a robust, well fitted collar or harness and lead

  • Medical Conditions – you must inform us of any medical conditions and may be asked for a letter from your vet stating your pet is healthy to be groomed before the groom is carried out

  • Please do not feed your pet within 30 minutes prior to their appointment
    Risk

GROOM FEEDBACK

You will be given detailed verbal feedback after every groom. If you have any queries or need further clarification, please ask or contact us at any stage. If you are dissatisfied with any aspect of your pet’s groom please let us know before you leave. Reasonable requests to alter the trim will be dealt with immediately or changes noted for the next groom. We are more than happy to disclose any details of your pet’s groom or advise you about how best to care for your pet’s coat.

PRICING

Prices quoted in advance of your appointment are for pets:

  • That are used to being professionally groomed on a regular, timely schedule

  • Whose coats are well maintained between professional grooms (ie. kept predominantly tangle, knot and matt free by regular brushing or combing)

There may be a small additional charge for:

  • Matted or poorly maintained and/or overgrown coats

  • Pets which are particularly difficult to manage or extremely uncooperative during grooming

  • Overweight pets or oversized for the breed standard

  • Timid, anxious or nervous pets, which require frequent breaks and may need special handling and a longer appointment time

If we are unable to complete a groom due to behavioural problems or aggression you may be charged the starting price of the groom.

All costs are payable in full on the same day that you collect your pet.

APPOINTMENTS

  • Booking, moving & cancelling appointments – customers are not required to pay a deposit to secure their appointment when initially booking. Should you wish to change or cancel an appointment please contact us at least 24 hours prior

  • We operate an appointment system only.  The appointment allocated for your dog’s groom has been booked at your request exclusively. We also offer a free appointment reminder, by text or phone at your request

  • Most grooms take between 1-3 hours depending on size, breed, temperament and coat condition

  • You will be advised what time to collect your pet.  It is essential that you collect your pet at the agreed time as once the groom is finished your dog will be eager to go home and may become unsettled or anxious. Late collections can cause delays to other clients’ appointments and may incur an extra charge.  Please telephone if you are running late.

  • Refusal – we have the right to refuse to groom any pet without reason

  • We have the right to refuse any customer without reason

NEGLECTED & MATTED COATS

  • In the event that your dog’s coat needs to be shaved down to release it from matting or coat neglect, you will be required to complete a Matted Dog Release form.  Your groomer will not be liable for any post-grooming effects of this procedure, which is not without risk.

  • Any humane de-matting will be undertaken solely at our discretion, in compliance with The Animal Welfare Act 2006.

  • De-matting during a routine groom is limited to a maximum of 15 minutes and is only possible if the matting is minimal. For severely matted coats where targeted de-matting is not possible, the only humane way to deal with this is to completely shave off the coat.  A shave off consumes significantly more time and resources than a routine groom and therefore may incur an extra charge. (We will discuss this with you before taking any action – please make sure that you are contactable.)

AGGRESSIVE & POORLY SOCIALISED DOGS: THE DANGEROUS DOGS ACT (1991)

We reserve the right to refuse to groom any dog at risk of harming us or itself. If your dog is accepted for grooming and displays severe aggression that we have not been informed of, we reserve the right to terminate the groom immediately and you will be contacted to collect your dog. The full starting price of the groom may be levied.

We will endeavour to work within the boundaries of your dog’s temperament but please inform us if your dog has ever bitten or displayed aggression.

Failure to disclose this information may result in refusal of further services. Your attention is drawn to the Dangerous Dogs Act, which holds owners liable for bites and injuries caused by their dogs.

Dangerous Dogs Act 1991 – We cannot groom any dog that is, or is crossed with, a Pit Bull Terrier, Dogo Argentino, Japanese Tosa or Fila Brasileiro. We will not groom any dog that must be registered under the Dangerous Dogs Act 1991, the Dangerous Dogs (Amendment) Act 1997 or any further amendments to this Act.

We cannot be held responsible for any damage to or loss of personal items during the appointment.

Any complaints with regards to our grooming services must be directed, in the first instance to Easipaws@hotmail.com

We reserve the right to amend these terms and conditions at any time.
